Andrew Simmerling is a career coach with a background in athletics, Rehabilitation and Physical Therapy, Performance Testing and Research, and Personal Coaching. He is a former NJCAA Collegiate Baseball Player and Pitcher in the competitive Panhandle Conference at Tallahassee Community College.

After retiring from his baseball career, Andrew went on to achieve his Bachelors in Science degree at Florida State University in 2014 with a focus on research and human performance. He held a job while acquiring his degree as a coach part of the Michelle Obama “get moving” initiative for kids at local schools. He and his team focused on a combination of circuit training and sports for kids to inspire them to make health and movement a part of their everyday life. Also while in school at FSU he worked as an assistant at an outpatient Physically Therapy clinic, where he would accumulate over 3,000 hours of experience and cemented his passion to pursue a career path in health and fitness.

Seeking a new avenue to connect with people and clients looking to better their health, he earned his CPT from the American College of Sports Medicine and began Personal Training clients in Chicago, IL in 2016. Starting his career at Equinox, he earned Tier 3 Status within 1 year and changed the lives of over 50 clients in his 2 year career there.  Andrew continued coaching in Chicago with Fast and Fit Coaching, learning from prominent local Strength Coach and Endurance specialist, Mike Thomson. While utilizing online coaching, personal training, nutritional consults, and teaching group classes, Andrew became specialized in coaching clients for Weight Loss, Body Composition Transformations, and Strength Performance Goals.

After becoming exposed to Revival Strength through his girlfriend Sarah’s family (long-time clients of the gym), Andrew decided to become a remote client, coached by Brianna Lamb, to better his training and increase knowledge and awareness as a coach when it comes to the online and in-person experience. He was completely inspired by the Revival Strength approach to training and message to the community of long term health and fitness.  He felt a gravitational pull to become a part of that movement and unique opportunity coaches have to connect to their clients on a deeper level.
