Pancake Challenge

Coach Note: Regression and Progression Reminder. This is another reminder to continue to select the stretch variation that is best for you in order to achieve the best results. As you are entering the final third of the mobility challenge, you may have explored "more challenging" variations of the pancake stretch and in doing so you might realize you can now progress to this variation on a regular basis. Awesome work!

 

Continue to progress to achieve the appropriate stimulus, but do not rush the progression. Remember our criteria for the proper pancake position:

  1. MOSTLY flat low back position.
  2. Stretch sensation in the hamstrings and/or adductors.

Short on Time:
Standing Pancake x 1 min
Floor Pancake x 2-3 min
