“During this challenge, I learned to track macros much more accurately. Having MyFitnessPal Premium definitely helps with this. It furthered my understanding of my nutritional needs and how they affected my body composition. I also have always had a ‘this is good enough’ point when it came to my own body composition. This challenge helped me to see that there is a next level that I could reach. Best part: Hands down, getting rid of uncontrollable sugar cravings and binging. It was also fun to see my weight/body fat drop so quickly and see a visible difference in body composition.”
“The challenge changed a lot of things for me, while nothing was new, I got a ton out of it. I thought what I had been doing for the previous 12 months had been fairly good, but when I stepped back and followed your protocols I realized how far away I had gotten. Too many prepackaged protein bars and quick and easy dinners, plus I was eating 5-6 times a day. The challenge changed all of that for me, I’m eating 3 meals and maybe one of your shakes a day, I’ve eaten more vegetables in the past month than the past two years. I’ve struggled keeping my carbohydrates under 25% for a while because of the processed foods, now I’m easily able to maintain 20% by eating only fruits and veggies. One of the biggest nutritional challenges every year comes at the end of December into January, between the holidays, my wife’s and my birthday all fall in a 8 day span, this year wasn’t perfect, still many foods we wouldn’t typically eat in the house but I was way more aware and fought of temptation. Regardless I’m looking forward to continuing the practices and make up that lost ground over the next few months.”
