Latest Updates on the Functional Bodybuilding App

Overall: App is online and available.

Known Issues: 

12/2/25 - Elevated incidents of the "something went wrong" error - if you are unable to access training please use this week's pdf. You can also try turning off wifi and using the app on your 5G/mobile carrier network as our developers work to resolve.

To report a bug or feature request, first make sure you have updated your app to the latest version and recheck your issue. If it still persists, use the chat bubble on this page or in the app. Please include as much detail for bug reporting as possible including a screenshot or screen recording, steps to reproduce, and device so that we can troubleshoot quickly.

 

Version 2.120 is in review and will have the following included:

  • Macros page in check-in forms so clients can report their macros for the day and it will display on the coach dashboard.
  • Our next attempt to fix the Something Went Wrong error (this one has been a doozy)
  • Auto saving sets when tapping out of the last field for a set.
  • Form responses save as a draft after each question in case the client leaves or gets kicked out for any reason.

Bug fixes coming in (2.120):

  • Set data from sequential sets overwriting previous set data.
  • Issues with data in the reps field not being visible.

Version 2.121 will be the next update set to go into review and will include:

  • Clients will be able to reorder logged meals for a day.
  • Ability to select any exercise as an alternative
  • Bug fix for gray screen when switching to an alternate exercise

We are continuing to prioritizing:

  • Issues brought up by you and the community.
  • Setting up live streaming for the app
  • Completing the simplified workout view based on your feedback
  • Continuing to build out improved 1-on-1 coaching features

[APP UPDATES 11/07/25]

New Features (2.119):

  • Completing the simplified workout view based on your feedback

[APP UPDATES 10/24/25]

We are currently waiting for review on the next update (2.117) that will include:

  • Fix for a bug where certain international clients were unable to input numbers with a , for a decimal
  • Audio issues on videos including volume settings.
  • Ability to have a line break in the notes sections.
  • Video thumbnails for demo videos to have them play in place.
  • "Update your app" pop-up.
  • Clients having an indicator on the dashboard on days they have completed workouts.

 

[APP UPDATES 10/21/25]
The most recent version includes the following changes:

  • Reporting macros - make this available to all users and add fiber
  • Bug fix - editing sets/notes for specific sets
  • Video feedback feature
  • Weekly averages included in the metrics graphs
  • Automatic progression to next cycle for people who are on their own schedule

In progress:

  • Fix for when a client inputs weight it wouldn't show.
  • Audio issues on videos including volume settings.
  • Ability to have a line break in the notes sections.
  • Video thumbnails for demo videos to have them play in place.
  • "Update your app" pop-up.

  • Unilateral movements with timers will now show two timers.
  • Bug fix to address losing logged meals (please provide details if you still see this)
  • Ability to log macros for a day without logging individual meals.

- Google Play store issue resolved, Android users able to update app

- Resolved data loss bug when logging supersets and glitch when reording sets

- Fixed bug for removing workouts from calendar

- Enabled logging alternative exercises in supersets

 

[APP UPDATES 9/16/25]

- Slow/lagging/inability to log in today was a temporary issue and has been resolved; safeguard added for any future instances for faster resolution

- New app update pushed a resolution for missing data while logging; please update to the latest version and report if you experience this issue after that

- Resolved: disappearing note sections, data missing when navigating to past workouts

- Resolved: missing ability to log swapped exercises on supersets

- Resolved: bugs with unwanted cycles pinning to dashboard or inability to pin past cycles for certain users

 

[APP UPDATES 9/12/25]

- Google Play store reporting longer wait times to resolve Android app unavailability; escalated and waiting on resolution

- Unable to reproduce data being erased by opening demo videos; please update to latest version of app and report if you have this issue exactly which steps were taken

- In testing: further bug fixes for logging instability

- Resolved: users unable to log in when close to their renewal date

- Resolved: bug for some users not being able to pin certain cycles to dashboard

- Resolved: missing logging areas past the warmup set for certain movements

- New navigation capability added to move through different days in the workshops

- New more prominent notes area added for supersets

- In testing: fixes for data disappearing while logging workout results

 

[APP UPDATES 9/5/25]

- Fix deployed for Atom bridge subscribers 8/4-8/7 who were having login issues

- In testing: more prominent note area for supersets and standalone movements

- In testing: navigation improvement for workshops

- In testing: fix for those having trouble pinning cycles to dashboard

- In progress: logging issues with missing/reordered data, missing input fields

 

[APP UPDATES 9/3/25]

- A new issue is impacting Android users (see above). 

- Logged custom workouts unable to be viewed

- Backend fix deployed for "something went wrong" errors; please report if you continue to see these

- Users who bridged over from Atom on 8/6 should now be able to log in; please report if you need assistance; some users who signed up 8/7 and on may still be impacted

 

[APP UPDATES 8/31/25]

- "Something went wrong" error - Certificate fix deployed 8/30; possible issue remaining when retrying requests if connection changes. Monitoring.

- Missing sets in past workouts, nutrition data disappearing - in progress.

- Added dates to track names when pinning on dashboard in case previous cycle pinned

- Jump straight into your programs without clicking through multiple layers of pages

- More workout data visible where needed (tempo, number of sets, etc.); streamline workout flow

- Interface improvements for finding past results and adding notes; clearer instruction for unique last sets such as Max Unbroken reps

- Top bar too big on desktop; rotation issues on ipads; log results button blocking last set at times

- Clean up logging in kilos, and add ability to switch between/select units

- Timers for Every 3 minute style workouts; timer functionality if you are far away or are out of the app when the timer runs out; Timers available on all unilateral exercises for use on both sides

- Offline logging, auto save, more streamlined logging

- More exercise swap functionality

- Multi-add foods and "maintenance" level in nutrition; ability to log single foods and not just meals

- Be able to see on calendar when workouts have been checked off/completed

- Language translation setup for better translations

- Be able to navigate to entire workout from logging chart for movements

- Browse training journal section rather than see results by movement
