50g Protein Challenge

Hitting your protein is one of the simplest levers to pull to build or maintain muscle. And the more lean muscle you have, the more calories you can burn at rest.

Muscle is also what shapes your body; even if you’re trying to lose weight, muscle creates a toned, defined look. And retaining muscle mass is key to longevity too.

Protein not only builds muscle; it keeps you feeling full and satisfied, helping to reduce cravings and keep your energy even throughout the day. 

The Challenge

I challenge you – yes you! To eat 50 grams of protein every single day before 10am. (Or 40% of your daily protein target – see below.)

Most people do not eat enough protein, period. Getting a big dose early in the day will give you a head start before decision fatigue creeps in. You’ll also combat hunger and cravings later in the day.

How It Works

  1. Eat 50 grams of protein before 10am
  2. Take a photo of your meal with time stamp, and tag me with #50gramsbefore10 on Instagram @marcusfilly
  3. Have a great day and do it again!

Everyone is invited to participate – and I’ll share as many of your photos as I can so we can all support each other and get breakfast ideas, too.
